JVKellyGroup, Inc., along with the Huntington Township
Chamber of Commerce, received a proclamation from the Town of
Huntington for their donation of two bicycles to the newly

JVKellyGroup, Inc. Executives
Named 2008 Pros To Know by Supply and Demand Chain Executive
Magazine
JVKellyGroup, Inc. Chief Executive Officer, Jim Kelly, C.P.M.,
and Chief Solutions Officer, Ryder Daniels, have been named
"Pros to Know" by Supply and Demand Chain Executive Magazine.
This is the second consecutive year on the list for
Jim Kelly, who was recognized for his supply
chain thought leadership. Jim has spoken at numerous
events over the past year to drive home the importance of his
message that “visibility is the great antiseptic,” meaning that
if your employees know their spending is being monitored, they
will be less likely to buy out of policy, leading to greater
compliance and savings.
Through his leadership of JVKellyGroup, Jim has guided
the company’s Fortune 500 clients to streamlined processes,
superior visibility into supplier spend and performance and
savings that positively impact the bottom-line - numbers a CFO
understands.
Ryder Daniels
was recognized for his work in transforming the way companies
can leverage complex data to make timely decisions in areas such
as Supplier Performance Management, Risk, Spend Analysis,
Business Process Management, and Marketing Intelligence.
Since 2002, Ryder has focused Web 2.0 innovations to
deliver sustained change in several industries. Traditional
dashboards focus on depicting what has already occurred and
allow you to manage to a static set of metrics. By
understanding that what matters today may not matter tomorrow,
Ryder, along with his team of business intelligence experts,
designed a flexible dashboard solution in which clients can
readily change which metrics they are monitoring, while
maintaining their original metrics in the background.
“We’re ecstatic to receive this recognition,” says
Kelly, “but the recognition should not stop with Ryder and me.
Our people are a key differentiator of the firm and without
their commitment, hard work, and support we wouldn’t be on this
prestigious list.”

"This year's Provider Pros to Know have shown
themselves to be thought-leaders in their respective supply
chain segments," said Andrew K. Reese, editor of Supply & Demand
Chain Executive. "Their efforts in developing the tools and
processes necessary for supply chain transformation, and in
promoting new approaches to supply chain enablement, are helping
raise Supply Chain's status within the enterprise and have

Jim Kelly Invited to Testify
at New York State Governor's Budget Hearing
Jim Kelly, CEO of JVKellyGroup, Inc. has been invited to testify
at a budget hearing for New York State Governor Eliot Spitzer's
2008-09 Executive Budget on Friday, March, 7, 2008.
The hearing will give Long Island
government officials, community leaders, and business leaders an
opportunity to speak to state lawmakers on how the proposed
budget would impact local residents. The session is
sponsored by the Assembly Republican Members from
Suffolk and Nassau Counties.
Jim Kelly said it is a privilege to be asked. “I am honored,”
said Jim, “to represent my community and my business at this
important hearing. These budget decisions have a major
impact on how we work and live. We hope the message can be
carried to Albany
that our property taxes are too high and are choking the
potential of our residential and business markets. The Governor
makes many good points in his budget, but the detail needs to be
crystal clear on how we will make up the short fall without one
area of the state being sacrificed for the sake of another area
of the state.”

eSourcing: Promise Delivered, Delayed or
Missed?
Jim Kelly recently spoke at the
Connecticut Association of Purchasing Management on the topic of
eSourcing. His presentation covered how components such
as, eSpend analysis, eRFx, Reverse eAuctions and Contract
Management Systems can interact to achieve maximum advantages.
He also led discussion on how much should be spent on these
solutions and how to get Senior Management to see the value.
Attendee, Dr. Subroto Roy, stated the following in his
web blog, “A great insight from Jim's talk was, for me, a
better understanding of the nature of the organizational
e-procurement process. Consider a three year contract that is
negotiated using an e-procurement system. The buyer who works on
the system would typically move out of her/his role in three
years when time comes to put out an RFP for the new contract.
Institutional knowledge of the RFP process for the commodity in
question is lost and the new buyer has to start all over again.”
Later in the day, Jim also presented to the National
Association of Purchasing Management – New York. In his
presentation, “How To Bring Additional Value to Internal
Customer”, Jim discussed the concepts behind managing with the
right metrics, change management, and distributed intelligence.
